I have to give this a low rating 3/10. It has some well done special horror effects but otherwise it was bad. The demon's powers are arbitrary and make no sense, the two brothers do every stupid thing they can that makes things worse, and the story shows children being harmed. I feel more stupid having watched it.
shareUh, it's stupid because it doesn't feel the need to spare children? That's one of my biggest complaints about horror movies is that children usually live, when they'd probably be the first to go. This movie was ballsy as fuck in that and other regards.
Re: the demon's powers, sure, we don't understand them, but that doesn't mean they're arbitrary, we're just not privy to the "rules."
And horror movie characters making stupid decisions is surely nothing new :)
