... particularly of several home invasion thrillers, most notably Michael Haneke's Austrian original "Funny Games" (1997) and the likes of "Desperate Hours" (1990) and possibly even "Panic Room" (2002) and the little seen 80s Australian film "Vicious" (1988), does anyone else think that overall though...

This movie was surprisingly rather really good, quite tense and intense, with a terrific performance from the lead bad guy and that technically, in terms of direction and cinematography, it was rather top level, and that it had some genuine suspense to it, creepiness and tension and that at least 7-8 out of 10 rating is actually appropriate?
