SPOILER: Location

Watching the movie, when they were talking about a despicable place to move to. I jokingly said New Jersey and sure enough that's where they moved. (Half the theater roared when it happened) Since I live here and saw it here, it got me thinking: Did they change that locale to the different states for the joke factor or do they say New Jersey everywhere?
I realize that's improbable due to the costs involved but just wondering.

It is New Jersey everywhere.

Thank you

I was in New York once, and our tour party went through the Lincoln Tunnel to emerge in New Jersey, and all I remember was an ugly mass of roads, but with a beautiful view of Manhattan in front of the rising sun. Maybe it's that part of NJ that makes it unsightly for most?

reply

Don't judge the state by the tunnel access.

reply

Don't mean to offend. :)

I googled the map of the exit on the NJ side and it didn't look all that convoluted at all, I guess I was just in awe of US road networks. I visited the USA from the UK, so obviously everything looked bigger and more impressive than my humble little country, and I particularly remember being blown away by the freeways around Baltimore, on our way to Washington. :)

reply

No offense taken.
For the most part it's a beautiful state. 80% of the population lives in the northern half so it looks way more congested than it really is. Now if only we could something about the lousy governor.
