Pleasantly surprised by Reynolds

I expected this movie to be Denzel overpowering scene after scene with his usual excellent acting skill, overshadowing Ryan Reynolds.

Was pleasantly surprised to see Reynolds capture his role well and provide the viewer with understanding to his position, even if his character felt empty and story-less.

Impressive overall.

Yeah I totally agree. I saw Deadpool before this movie, so it was cool to see Reynolds acting in a realistic way and showing a wide array of emotions. He really shouldn't be typecast as the "funny" guy when he is capable of playing more in depth roles.

Agreed, he kicked ass and was very good with Denzel.
