I like movies about finance, but I also thought this movie was boring and it tried to be funny, but it wasn't. Margin Call is about the same subject, but is a better movie, in my opinion.

shareI see what you mean, man. I also didn't understand anything in his movie. Take the title, for instance. "Big short" - what is that even supposed to mean? How can a thing be big and short at the same time? That just doesn't make sense.
shareAlso, this thing "money" that the keep talking about. They never explained what that term means either. This movie hurt my brain. I like the bathtub scene though.
OK, in all seriousness, if you honestly missed the meaning of the term "short" in oversimplified sense, short means betting that an investment will decrease in value. If it does, you win. More detailed definition: http://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/short.asp
