Tuck definitely...

I never did understand why the Lauren chose FDR.

It's like Hollywood wants us to believe that women choose men as if they are choosing a beautiful wild horse, that we need to "break in" in order to ride it, thus making the relationship more rewarding. It's hogwash, actually.

Then at one point she complains that Tuck is a little too safe. What's wrong with safe?

Lauren's first date with Tuck was really nice, and it was genuine as there was no competition involved yet. She had fun and she liked him.

Compare that to FDR, whose first date was at a club. I mean, get real.

Everything about FDR was so disingenious compared to Tuck who was just a nice guy, who deserved more than that bitchy ex-wife of his.

The statement below is false.
The statement above is true.

Nah FDR is sexy as hell

Well, I disagree on that.
When I saw the previews, before it even came out, I knew I wanted to see this movie for Tuck alone. And to think Tom Hardy finds doing rom-coms "soul-destroying"!! I hope he reconsiders that because he made my heart skip a beat in this movie.

At first all FDR could see in Lauren was a challenge and to spite Tuck but after getting to know her...he actually developed real feelings for Lauren which caused him to change his womanizing ways. While Tuck was always honest with Lauren (for the most part)....Tuck never truly got over his ex which is why Lauren choosing FDR was the right choice.

No one is more suited for this job than myself...unless it's someone else.

Chris Pine was simply the bigger star (at the time). They thought it would appeal to audiences more, I suspect. In the DVD release, she chooses Tuck, as one of the alternate endings.
