Good humor let down by some half-baked acting

I watched the first episode since I'm an Elisha Cuthbert fan and thought this show looked all right.

The opening was hilarious and some of the jokes were really funny. There were a couple that didn't land, but most of them went home.

However, I can't get over how half-hearted some of the acting was. Aside of Cuthbert, Zachary Knighton and Damon Wayans Jr., the other actors almost seemed like they forced their lines. Especially Eliza Coupe.

I hope this is a thing I get used to as I really want to watch more of this show.

Definitely keep watching. I thought the same thing in the beginning. They all start to mesh as it goes on.

Coupe does the best small details (facial expressions, sounds, etc) by the middle of season 1. She started as my least fave and ended up as my most fave.

This is funny to me since I found Cuthbert to be the absolute weakest link on the show.
