Is there any popular show with worse writing than this one? (spoilers)

Serious question. I just now watched the series finale and man was it awful. I thought there was no way it could be worse than the season 6a finale, but the writers obviously didn't learn their lesson. They used a lazy cop-out yet again. I have to wonder if they actually despise the fans.

When I was speculating on who could be A.D, the evil twin scenario didn't even occur to me. I thought for sure they wouldn't play that card a THIRD time. I tried to mentally prepare myself for disappoiment and told myself that there was nothing too ridiculous and far-reaching for this show. I imagined worst-case scenarios but they still managed to slap me in the face and fall short of my low expectations. I had read a spoiler before watching that said someone named 'Alex' may be A.D. I thought that surely it wouldn't be Spencer's tennis boyfriend from season 1. But even THAT would have been a better reveal than what we got. The only thing worse that the writers could have done was to have the entire show be a dream or hallucination. Seriously, what were they thinking? Or are they too lazy and apathetic to think?

The earlier seasons of this show was some of the most intriguing and addictive entertainment I've watched. It was so good at suspense and spectacle. It's too bad about the writers' lazy disregard for a well rounded story and continuity. It could have really been great.
