Post here if you Liked/Loved this movie!

I'm really sad to see how low a rating The Dilemma got (lower than Little Fockers, seriously guys? That movie was crap in a basket). I thought this movie was funny, with great characters who acted and reacted (for the most part) like an actual person would in this situation. I liked how it was directed, and my friends and I quote this movie because we thought it was good. Vince Vaughn, awesome, I felt so bad for him. Jennifer Connelly, beautiful! I have a serious lady crush on her! This movie was good I thought, sucks that not many people did.

I think that casting a drama with actors who are commonly known for comedic roles sets a false-expectation for the audience. People went in expecting laughs and were served up a platter of something else entirely (though there were a few parts that made me laugh). As a result, it got a low rating (which it would deserve if it were purely being rated as a comedy).

Standing on its own merits and having watched it with no knowledge of what to expect, I thought it was a good movie.

Really, if you found out your best friend's wife is cheating would go buy a camera and climb up a tree to take blurry pics of the event? Then scream at a full body tatooed rockstar wannabe in the middle of the street? Right This movie failed miserable, the narrative is horrible and it fell apart in the hands of Ron Howard...

Count me as one of the minority who really enjoyed this one. It wasn't perfect, but the meat of it was very substantial and refreshingly honest. I don't know if it takes an individual who has been through some of the problems that these characters faced to be able to fully appreciate it, but I have a hard time understanding how this film could have left so many people with a sour taste in their mouth.

You can nitpick the pace, the script and the promotion/categorization of if that's your thing. But where are we as a society when something that is obviously positive and well-intentioned, and promotes friendship, love, honesty and integrity is considered a BAD thing? I can be as cynical as the next man, but I still know something real and true when I see it - and it's no surprise that Ron Howard was the main in the chair behind it.

I liked it. Think it might have been misdiagnosed as a comedy. It had some wry humor, but wasn't a yukfest.

Just watched on demand, and I would say the same thing. I don't understand all the hate. I've seen a lot of movies much worse than this.

I completely agree--I thought the movie was great for the exact same reasons you posted!
I'm extremely surprised that most people didn't like it. Were they expecting over-the-top comedy? That's strange, considering how the trailer depicted the tone of the movie perfectly.

This movie is garbage. Nick's character was just *beep* He's a terrible friend. The ending with him being mad showed how selfish he was.

I saw this back in 2011 and all I remember is I did really like it. I just don't remember anything about it! Lol. I remember seeing the rating and being shocked by it. I must not remember anything about it cos it wasn't an important or groundbreaking movie or anything, but it was certainly much better than its rating.
