Just read about all the shows I like that have just been cancelled and it reminded me about The Good Guys. If people didn't like the show, they did not give it a chance. I say Colin Hanks on a talk show befor TGG was on and I didn't particularly care for him so thought I wouldn't like the show, but loved it and loved Colin. And Starks' ringtone.....Slow Ride, what a hoot.
shareAgreed completely, just found this gem tonight, already on episode 4, been laughing my ass off the whole time. Of course it got cancelled by Fox, anything smarter than 'who wants to marry a 5th grader' is bound to go the wayside at this point.
10/10 Will be rewatching this one season for years to come I think...

Collin Hanks did a GREAT job as a foil, you're not supposed to be impressed with his performance, or even remember it. There's a reason Whitford is before him in the opening credits. Indeed, it's weird that people are even commenting on Hank's performance, his character is the straight-laced forgettable pencil-pushing 'Felix to Whitford's Oscar,' he's not supposed to 'wow' you.
On top of that, I felt like the overtly ambiguous to-and-fro between Hank's and Wade's characters especially entertaining. It is a sum up of all awkward-lead-men-affraid-to-actually-ask-out-the-girl-that-wants-him tropes in history. They nailed everything on this show, it's a breath of fresh air amid 2015's endless supposedly serious TV shows.
I just saw it on Netflix and I don't understand why there is only one season. It was fun and entertaining and I loved the soundtrack! What a pity.
