I've watched a lot of the series. I am a big fan of JFK, Bobby and the Kennedys. Barry Pepper as Bobby for me stands out as the best acting performance in the series,
Greg Kinnear was satisfactory in the main role of JFK but not outstanding (for me Martin Sheen's JFK will never be equalled).
Katie Holmes was also quite good as Jackie.

Nobody else really comes close. Greg Kinnear was passable, but to me seemed more like the equivalent of wallpaper in that you notice the wallpaper in a room but don't pay special attention to it. It doesn't draw you in or 'pop' for you.
Diana Hardcastle as Rose Kennedy was decent, but nobody touched Tom and Barry in this show.
Katie Holmes had done her homework. Obviously studying Jackies facial tics and body language, and very passable voice. However, still comes over as perhaps too young and girlie.
shareBarry Pepper, hands down. He was way above the rest of the casting. The fact that RFK is to me the most interesting and tragic character in the Kennedy saga made me love his performance even more. He literally made The Kennedys watchable.
shareTom Wilkinson for me dominates as he always does. He has a presence that cannot be denied and I wait each scene for him to come back on.

shareWinged: I agree with you. Tom Wilkinson was wonderful (as he always is. That guy can flat-out act.) But I also really liked Barry Pepper. He's an amazing actor as well and, IMO, really did a great job portaying Bobby Kennedy. He made Bobby seem like such a warm and sensitive person. I hope the real Bobby was just like how Barry portrayed him.
