I totally enjoyed watching it but in the end i guess though it was one of the most beautifully directed movies it is overrated i mean why so hype about it there are many more flicks just like that yeah minus the splendid spainish bits
Music is mystical,poetry was great,acting wise good except abhay deol (despite being a big fan of abhay deol i guess he acted so gayish throughout the movie :))

Unfortunately we indians are rating every good indian movie 10. To those who are trying to justify current rating must know that far better romantic movies like Titanic, silver linings playbook are rated less than this one.
shareTotally totally correct! This is one of the MOST OVERRATED films I've seen in a long time. This is a wonderful art film but fails to grasp my attention as a commercial flick.
And the songs... I'm not sure which idiot found them melodious. Other than a couple, rest of the songs are not even worth listening to at home.
I gave this film only a rating of 4.

shareI agree , its overrated in IMDB. It deserves something between 6 to 7 not above 8. Movie has good songs and some beautiful moments between the film. Its not a great movie in a whole .
shareUnderrate or Overrate is rather subjective, The IMDB score is combination of more than 35000 user's score. I am not sure why your rating system can over ride that many user's scores.
If Your statement of "overrate" can have more substance such as compared to other 8.1 movies, why this movies is less of it, than I might buy it. As you stated right now I am not sure I total agree with you.
