I prefer the new gang.

Rudy's my favourite character from all series of the show, and over series 5 so far I've really grown to love the new characters that were introduced last year and actually prefer this new group.

After rewatching it, I think the original gang became dull in series 3 and despite people still complaining that they left I can't imagine what else the writers could have done with them.

I read somewhere that Simon was supposed to be a villian, and I honestly thought he was shaping up to be a good one. He was smart, cunning, and had invisibility, his weird personality is also very villainous. However they decided to make him super hoodie. I agree that he and Nathan were the series favorites, however I think the writers dropped the ball with the other main characters. Take Curtis for instance. IMO he had the deepest backstory (a fallen star on the road to redemption), however I think they dropped the ball with any further developments by turning him into the moody straight guy. Also besides a few eps with her and love interests, they never really developed Kelly's character either.

Rudy is one screwed up cat, but I like him.

The casting team finds some very lovely ladies for this show.

It took me a whole season but I have grown to like them. I think I like the new gang as much as the old one. It's too bad the show has ended.

Really? I thought series fell off a cliff when new characters came in (kind of like the Sliders disaster)

I will agree Rudy was pretty good (even if his character seems to be a rehash of Nathan... think about it; if Nathan's new power was to create a clone there would be no difference from Rudy)

Rudy also was pretty good at playing the new guy (eg when he gets beaten and does not even know who the person attacking them is)
The other characters again are just thrown in to fill space

I find it sad how some people think Nathan WAS MisFits. The characters in each series had their ups and downs. I also liked Nathan a lot, but he wasn't the show, other characters for him to bounce off made him who he was.

I liked the new characters as well as the first lot, they just take some growing into, like a new pair of shoes, or a new Dr Who. They grow on you gradually, and I also thought the new characters bounced off of each other just as well as the original cast.

I gave the show 10/10 in my rating, because it was entertaining, and I have the whole series on my computer which I must have seen 3x by now, and will watch it again and again, reliving the character changes.

I liked Jess, loved Rudy and Fin bantering with each other, which was similar to Nathan and Simons banter. Alex and Abby were by far the weakest characters, Alex being the least weakest of the two, and a lot more developed.

The show overall was a success, and could have probably run for a couple more series with more character development for some and maybe new ones added... but sometimes shows run too long and become stagnant, and it could well have happened to MisFits if it had gone on much longer... just like eating too much chocolate, it'll make you sick in the end.
