Does the show really need to be an hour long?

Ok. I get that very rarely in a murder investigation is your first suspect the actual murderer. But it gets a little tiring in every single episode when they focus on one particular person, then at the half hour mark, something happens and they realize they're tracking the wrong person. This show would be much more interesting if they could just cut to the chase. A little suspense here and there is nice, but don't make me feel like I just watched half an hour of the show for absolutely no reason.

I want to know the whole story from start to finish. I think the adverts take up a lot of the hour.

I don't mind it being an hour. As another said I too want to see the case start to finish.

Some episodes involve more than one case.

This is a great true crime series. Less predictable. So much of forensic files and other shows involve the obvious suspects like a husband or ex boyfriend. This is so different.

Sometimes it's depressing because some real evil at work there.
