Actually, it was a classic Greek comedy. Tragedy, e.g., Hamlet, places the protagonist in what is literally an impossible situation and then takes his full measure by showing how close he comes to reaching his goal. He fails, but we are inspired by his effort and his reach (which exceeds his grasp). Comedy, conversely, puts the protagonist in a situation that is completely within his control, and he fucks it up. Eddie's heart attacked him because he was taking too many pills. He had total control over Sarah and Billy, and his personal flaws fucked him up. Hilarious๐๐๐๐
