Could they not find a Jew in Hollywood to play Moses?

You wouldn't think it would be that hard to find one, but yet they didn't.

Idiot. Movies star actors, people pretending to be what they aren't. It's the very essence of acting.

Tip: Alec Guinness was not really a Jedi Knight *gasp*

'Then' and 'than' are different words - stop confusing them.

They couldn't find a JEW in HOLLYWOOD??? Hahahahahahahahaha!! That's like not being able to find a chicken McNugget in McDonalds.

Actors are chosen based on their ability, interest in the role and availability (and their cost). Only when the role is visibly for a specific race, such as Chinese, or Indian, or whatever, will they go out of their way to find such talent. In this case, that was completely unnecessary.

I could have sworn that Charlton Heston and Christian Bale WERE Jewish because I had them on flights I worked and they had requested Kosher meals (Lucille Ball too) but it was many years ago and I went through the whole 6 page list of Jewish actors on IMDB (found by Google searching Jewish actors (duh) and they weren't listed. Wow that might be the longest run on sentence ever.

Don't people order kosher meals on planes so it won't be some reheated slop?

It's just like with most of American rendered movies/tv.. everything has to be purely white washed.

I don't think it would be accurate for Moses to be called a Jew (yet). Sure, they were the Hebrew people, but they really only became Jews when they got the 10 commandments and made a special covenant with God.
