A question about the Baron? (for those who’ve seen the film)

In Dune Part 1 Denis decided to make the Baron’s ability to levitate an internally implanted bio-mechanical device, for Part 2 he went back to the book for inspiration and brought back the suspensors.
Why did he do this, his idea for the bio-mechanical implant was pretty cool imo and to change it up in the sequel seems questionable to me.
