Good movie, but why did they put the last shot on...(Spoilers)

Zendaya? It's like the studio was like "No you can't end it on white main character who has become the Mesiah", you must end it on black female character to show how she is real hero. Kinda left a bad taste in my mouth of an otherwise good film.
