Spotted a goof in Season 9? Spoilers

In Season 9, episode 8 the guy from Hilltop died. I'm purposefully not saying his name to avoid spoiling it. Then in episode 11, they showed him alive with Tara, meeting up with Ezekiel and Carol. Did I miss something?

The scenes with him in that episode were flashbacks

Yep, thanks. I finally realized it was a flashback because Jerry's wife was barely pregnant. Then later on in the episode they show the wife with like 4 kids. Way to go Jerry.

There are 9 seasons of this show now? Are any of them as bad as season 2?

The Walking Dead is currently on season 10. The show will officially end with 11 seasons. C'mon now, the season 2 finale was pretty awesome. Herschel had an unlimited ammo clip, lol.

Season 2 is the reason I quit watching the show. So bad after an excellent season 1. The ending is cool because that is the only thing that happens in like 13 episodes.

You should keep watching it. The show is must see tv through season 8. After that, not necessary at all, you can quit and write some fan fic. The characters carry the show and some suffer truly horrible tragedies.
