'The CIA acknowledges its existence...'

In the beginning of the trailer, it says this. I was like "so? There's nobody who doesn't acknowlege its existence. Except it is part of the Air Force, isn't it? The CIA doesn't have anything to do with it. And nobody denies it exists."

Or am I somehow mistaken?

Others have said this, but it wasn't officially acknowledged by the government as a government installation until a couple of years ago.

The government also until recently (ish) acknowledged the existence of the Army having a "Delta" unit, but *refused* to acknowledge anywhere they were based out of. They were still denying any locations while I was stationed at Fort Bragg thinking, "Really? I've drove by their compound a bunch of times." They were one of the few groups on Fort Bragg pre-9/11 that had a compound-style fence in addition to being inside the confines of the post itself. Kind of obvious though, they always went jogging outside their fence in pairs with beards, (otherwise almost nonexistent on Bragg) they patrolled their perimeter with ATVs and SUVs, and they had a private little landing strip in the middle for whatever supplies and missions that needed running. You can keep things hidden from the general public, but you can't keep them from your neighbors forever.

You can see now why the government has been trying to suppress information about area 51 in this clip from 60 minutes in the 90's: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64dJ1pGETMY.

Back then, there was an environmental lawsuit filed against them for the deaths (and health issues) with previous area 51 employees due to chemicals they were dumping illegally.

My question is....WHY is no one talking about this? The Clintons 100% influenced the case.

No you're not mistaken.

Also, the CIA handles situations outside of the United States and the FBI handles situations on U.S. soil.
