'The CIA acknowledges its existence...'

In the beginning of the trailer, it says this. I was like "so? There's nobody who doesn't acknowlege its existence. Except it is part of the Air Force, isn't it? The CIA doesn't have anything to do with it. And nobody denies it exists."

Or am I somehow mistaken?

They may have well said the Easter Bunny acknowledges it!

The government never officially acknowledged its existence until 2013. They finally did but still don't go into detail of what's in it. Still gonna be a stupid movie though.

reply

Well, even that depends on what's considered "official". Clinton acknowledged it existed when he exempted it from certain environmental laws. And then the government got sued by workers and t hey had to acknowledge it in the public record then as well.

reply

Obama acknowledged it on TV. He even said he's the first president to explicitly do so.

Myself and some friends drove to freedom ridge in 97 typical. X files fanboys from england on the hunt for greys .

reply

You brought them back with you and they formed UKIP?

It's too cerebral! We're trying to make a movie here, not a film!

reply

No you are not, its the alien theorists idiots that try to make things look and sound more "conspicuous".

More like a joint activity between DoD, CIA, DARPA, Lockheed's Skunkworks, etc.

And how exactly you know that?

reply

It's called the "internet". It's been around for... like... a few weeks at least.

Many of the military establishments (bases, etc) are now "joint activities". Mostly for budget reasons, but also convenience. It's not a big secret. Area 51 is on a USAF base... (DoD). CIA, DARPA and Lockheed's Skunkworks have all invested in/worked on projects there. Have doubts? Look it up.

Sure thing...In other words you just pull BS out of your bottom, and/or you are believing to the BS that the conspiracy theorists idiots say.

Do you have anything official to back your claims? No? No? Nothing? shut up then.

All I said was "if you're too stupid or too lazy to use Google, that's not my problem"...

...and you reported it? (I see admins will delete anything that gets reported these days.) You offend that easily and call me pathetic? Pfft!, whatever...

I stand by what I wrote about Area 51. It's not a big secret. Not a conspiracy theory. It's easy to confirm. But, if what I wrote is wrong, it should be easy for you to refute with facts.

This movie was filmed at the same time as the fourth kind, which started off with a quote talking about all the people that go missing in Nome alaska, which is because of it being basically uninhabitable. The alien part was for marketing. This movie was using a real quote to show how hard the government tried to hide area 51. They lied and refused to admit its existance which was a big deal because tax dollars were going there, people were being put in jail for trespassing or speaking out but technically the government denied it was there so people should not have been in trouble for speaking out or been in trouble for trespassing to the extent of which they were.

Yeah, it's the same kind of garbage that people think "means something" when the USAF talk of UFO's. A UFO being an 'Unidentified Flying Object', which could be a weather balloon or a 747... until it's 'identified' it's 'unidentified'. Doesn't mean it's a flying saucer or a visitor from outer space.
