I know Reichardt based her previous films on their current political atmospheres, just curious if Meek and the Indian were representative of the Bush and Obama regimes, particularly putting faith in the Indian and not knowing if he would lead them correctly?
shareBrilliant film. I saw the whole thing as a meditation on western culture and America in particular. Meek's final words make it all the more chilling. Do any of our leaders know where we are going? Will they just absolve themselves of responsibility when it becomes critical?
shareWhat absolute rubbish. Everything isn't about politics you happen to be interested in. Overanalyzing things beyond the point of absurdity must spoil them all. So sad.
