One thing that confuses me a lot ...

If someone dies on Everest, his body is never brought down due to the weight of the body, etc. But surely it would have been possible to bring down Mallory's body? So everything was taken off the body and the body was just left there? Seems like in this day & age, his body could have & should have been brought down.

It would have been extremely difficult and dangerous. The discovery team led by Conrad Anker decided to give Mallory a burial and Anker said a few eloquent words. Mallory's actual grave-site is only known to very few.
