Sofia Vergara too pretty for the role

The movie had a raw, gritty theme and atmosphere. There’s rundown NYC, an unwanted ex convict, flashbacks to his murder etc. Everything is so bleak .... but then we see gorgeous Sofia Vergara on the screen: her presence seemed so out of place
