p.s. for anyone with a curious (or masochistic) bent, i posted some teasers for the second season that will never be -- on the tvtropes forum site -- last page (8)

Dear Cartoon Network,

Are You NUTS? Now that you have cancelled Unnatural History, my older son does not watch your station any more, and my younger son only has one show left...so much for giving families something they can watch together and discuss afterwards, and give children a thirst for knowledge and make it fun. Instead, you replace it with some mindless drivel my 8 year old refuses to watch because, as he says, "it's for babies. it's stupid." I don't know what demographic you're shooting for, but i think you just shot yourselves in the proverbial foot.

I have to agree with each single one of the posters. It's a shame the show was cancelled. I really was waiting for the new season, as I enjoyed madly the first one. This is one of the few times when everybody on the boards agreed: it was a great show and deserved so much more. It's a sad loss.

But as long as Mr. Werb is around, we can hope, barred the idiocy of networks' management, we'll have some other great show to look forward to.

Thanks Mr. Werb, it was superb while lasted. It surely is an instant DVD classic.

I know it has been a while, but maybe you could give another shot at reviving the show. I mean, if it was split into 30 min episodes (2 making a full episode) maybe Disney XD would pick it up (even with cast changes as needed, perhaps some overall changes), or SYFY as an hour series, or USA or TNT or FX they seem to be trying more original programming than they were 3 years ago. It may be gone, but Unnatural History is far from forgotten, and I would love to see it back, even if the format/actors need to change a bit to accommodate the time and contract lapses. I think it is still a show worth having on, and offers something different from most of what is on tv.
If something could be done, please do!
Thank you,
Stephen
