So what happened?

Over the last two days I watched all 7 episodes. So what happened? Nora and Dean are both crazy now? I really dislike programs like this. I was waiting to find out who "The Watcher" was - apparently there is no answer. If anyone has a clue, I'm all ears

This series is based on a true story. The Watcher was never caught in real life so the writers kept the same ending.

I don't think Nora and Dean are crazy at all. I think Dean is, for the time being, obsessed with the house and finding out who The Watcher is. He's probably wondering if the new family that moved in is going to receive the same type of letters that his family received. He found the whole thing pretty traumatic. As far as Nora, I think she's just concerned about her husband so she's following him and has realized he's lying to her about what he's doing.

Personally I thought it was a great show. The ending didn't bother me at all because it kept true to what happened in real life. A lot of people, though, are not happy with the ending.

Yes, if I knew it was going to end like that - I wouldn't have bothered. WHile I was watching this, it reminded me of "Mare of Easttown". Something shocking happens, you're introduced to a bevy of characters - and anyone of them could be the responsible party behind the shocking act. So, I kind of sat thru this cuz I was really curious for answers. As we know, there are no answers at the end of "The Watcher". One of things I liked about "Mare of Easttown" was the fact that it was rapped up nicely. All questions were answered in the finale. NO suck luck with "The Watcher".

As far as your assessment on NOra and Dean - that sounds about right. He's a bit obsessed and she knows it, so she's keeping an eye on him.

If The Watcher wasn't based on a true story I would be very annoyed by the ending. But it stayed true to the facts so it is what it is.

I hadn't heard of Mare of Easttown but it sounds good. I don't get HBO but sometime in the future, when it comes on other channels, I'll watch it.

Yes, you are correct, I read about it afterwards and the ending did stay true to the facts. Hahaha, but I have to say again, if I knew that ahead of time, I wouldn't have kept up with it. I probably would have packed it in after episode 2.

Yeah, I recommend "Mare of Easttown". COrrect its on HBO. It has the exact same vibe as "THe Watcher" - you get hooked in cuz you want to know what happened. The difference is, when you finish "Mare of Easttown" you'll be completely satisfied. Every question you'll have is answered.
