Too modern

The series is ok, but fails in many aspects (too slow, drags, could be 4 episodes, it gets interesting after ep 5). All substantial problems.

One very superficial and easy to fix problem is how out of place is the language, attitude and some themes of the story. "Fuck this", "get the fucking book". Who wrote it an high schooler from New Jersey?
And too many woke moments nobody aked for.
