Edit: Thanks to everyone who replied :) Gonna give another show a try, but thanks for your feedback!

I am the first person to say I'm a cheap date when it comes to movies and tv. I can usually find a reason to like anything. But this show... I'm up to season 2 episode 5 and the only characters I don't find completely awful are the children.

Trying to give it a chance but... people using make a wish kids for their own gain ... a guy tying his wife up for sex but using her being restrained to sneak to his laptop to make a trade...

It's all just kinda... crappy. there is no one to identify with or cheer for.

I really hope it gets better. I can't watch 7 seasons of this.

I suggest you don't watch. You either enjoy this type of humor or you don't. You clearly don't so don't waste your time... The earlier seasons are the funniest of the series

Should have came to this conclusion after a couple of episodes or so.
Cannot believe it took you that long.

Just patient. I didn't care for the first few episodes of Parks and Recreation but it grew into itself and became one of my favorite shows. Some shows you have to acquire a taste for, just like people. Sometimes the first interaction isn't great but you have to give them a chance to show what they really are.

Helps if you have actually played fantasy football.... Considering that's the basis for the show.

Agreed. Though I have to say the show was very interesting from that angle. I never really understood what Fantasy football entailed, but after watching I could see myself trying out a VERY casual league. It seemed like a lot of fun.

Nope, it just gets worse. Ironically, after season 4 its barely about fantasy football anymore. If you like American Pie like toilet humor and a bunch of grown men behaving like mentally challanged drunken frat boys then it should be your cup of meat. If not, I would skip it and watch Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Not all of the episodes are winners but the ones that are truly will make you laugh your ass off. Its a much better show with far better writting and acting and some actual clever humor mixed properly with the raunchy humor and Danny Devito is hilarious.

I truly love Sunny, but I must warn you that show might not be for you. The characters on that show are truly awful, horrible people. They make The League seem sweet in comparison.

One of my things about movies or tv or really anything - as long as I have someone to cheer for and like I usually can get past anything else and find a way to enjoy a program.

Shows where "everyone sucks" don't work for me, gives me nothing to cheer on, ya know?

I am deep into this series, probably mid- sixth season now, and I find it 50/50 in entertainment value. Merely a time-killer. I enjoyed this thread and you seem very nice and heartfelt in your contributions here. Cheers!

You're right, they are awful people, but for some, that's the appeal of the show. But yeah, it's not for everyone. Glad you gave it a chance, though.

Well you have this thread to help you now lol. It's not going to get better! Might I recommend Parks and Recreation instead? ;)
