Somewhere in... [Semi-mini review]

You get a lot of that throughout the film... Great CGI battles, hair flow through water seemed alright, costume adaptation were pretty much on point which was Grade A fantastic. James Wan, a horror guru, really knows how to bring out the height of battles in action movies, just like Furious 7.

Generic Chinese Asian fantasy film (maybe Journey to the West) + Uncharted 3 (Playstation Exclusive) + Journey to the Center of the Earth + overabundance of CGI and you'll get the jist of this film. I actually liked Black Manta's character even though he wasn't one of those greater villains out there. Mera, a strong supporting attractive female character that doesn't need to pander to any SJW or PC sphere and just kicks ass. A mid-credit scene with Black Manta and Dr. Stephen Shin also shows so don't miss out on that but no post-credit scene.
