I've seen the movie and thought it was charming and funny. i'd rank it a close second behind the original.I think most of the world will check it out but I expect it to bomb in the U.S which is obsessed with looks. There is no way an American will go see the adventures of a middle aged woman unless they have pumped up their butt, breasts and lips with silicone.

The irony of this comment by the original poster is that the star of this movie has had extensive work done to alter her face, and probably other parts of her body as well.
However, I thought she looked quite attractive. My objection to the movie is that it is poorly written, poorly directed, and in one case (PD) very poorly acted.
I love the first two movies and watched them multiple times. That's why I'm absolutely thrilled there is a third part out now!!!

I wish people outside of America would quit stereotyping a population of over 300 million. I've just watched it, and thought it was very funny. There is a reason Americans have BBC America, unfortunately 70% of the programming is Star Trek related. Ten years ago, they didn't think Americans would like UK Top Gear. Now an American company has "The Grand Tour" with the same three English hosts.
With Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu; don't underestimate an American audience. They now have access to shows from the UK that you had to dig for on Youtube only five years ago.
You also realize many American's still think that one of the best chick flicks' of all time is "Love Actually". That came out almost fourteen years ago.
I don't remember Bridget Jones Baby getting the same publicity here, and that could be why American's didn't go to see it at the movie theater. It's the powers that be that thought it was a waste of money to heavily promote the film in America.
