What convinced me

I’d never heard of this case before, and simply happened upon the documentary on Netflix. It’s a ripping murder mystery, filled with twists and turns. There is a lot of hearsay, and plenty of circumstantial evidence to sift through, but what really stuck out was….

SPOILER ALERT

….Ian Bailey blaming his girlfriend for his instances of domestic violence. He did half-heartedly take some blame, but to even remotely cast doubt on her says a lot about the man and his character. (O.J. Simpson, anyone?) This is what sociopaths, narcissists, and abusers do. Up until this point in the documentary I’d withheld judgement, particularly since pretty much all the evidence is circumstantial. However, once Mr. Bailey let the veil slip and revealed his true nature, I became convinced of his guilt.
