Sooo... What's the point?

What was the actual point of making this film? Is there some sort of depth or meaning in this film that Tom Six was going for? Or is it simply a pointless disgusting gore fest? I mean seriously, why would someone decide to make something like this??

It's Tom Six's story. Maybe he got what he wanted, to make disturbing movie to people shock?

I personally thought it was really good, I liked how disturbing it is. But the third is by far one of the most pointless movies..

You should to wonder about August Underground, you'd have more question about it than you think.

There's something wrong with Esther.

It came about from an idea had because he wanted to think of the worst way to punish a child molester.

instead let's sow innocent people together lol

Well, his response to that was that one could do anything in movies and even as messed up as it was, he was glad that he could do it on the movie screen.

The downside to this is the hope that no nut does it in real life.

Then again, he kind of made it encouraging to those crazy people by making the 2nd movie and stating the punishment for prisoners, by making the 3rd movie.

for once I'm wondering if one can be more disturbed than the perverts one wants to sow lol

He said that he actually wanted to push the concept of dark comedy as far as possible. The first two are certainly darker and we don't feel much presence of humour (even though the premise itself can't be taken seriously). But the dirst one seems to me like a little bit more obviously made to be a really dark comedy. The pacing is way lighter and no character is likely to be seen in a serious horror film.

This being said, I hated all three movies and didn't find anything funny about them... Especially the third one which is way overdone in every aspects. It is just sick and disgusting.
