A more ideal casting

Love him or hate him, but Kevin Spacey would have absolutely killed it as Edward. And Guy Pearce would have added much more depth to the Dr Martin role.

The actors were good but not quite good enough to carry the dialogue heavy middle of the film. This cast and maybe the narrative would have benefited from some external or back story scenes to break up the duo scenes in the rotunda with a weaker cast.

Better actors could have carried it with more engagement and intensity.

The concept was good, though. Too bad the ending was a bit botched. I didn’t mind the demon/homeless person, but the witness room attempted suicide and the Glenn Beck interview felt a bit of desperation.

We must concede: It was jarring to see SP Flannery resurface after all this time
