weight change of actresses

Has anyone else noticed the large change in weight of Bea from series 1 to 2 and Connie between series 2 and 3? I can see Bea's weight gain working into the script, as she had a baby, but was Connie's weight gain scripted? Not that they don't still look lovely, but in my experience with TV, the appearance of the characters generally changes very little over its course of a series, and is generally written into the contract that they cannot alter their appearance.

I was thinking the same thing about both Bea and Connie!

I'm with you two. I definitely noticed a weight change in both actresses between seasons but I thought I was losing it. Glad to know I was right.

Everybody needs love. Have you held your hostage today?

I didn't notice it with Connie. But I went back to watch the pilot with my sister, while I was in the middle of season 2, and thought "omg Bea looks so little!" Maybe she was pregnant in real life?

Does it really matter?! During the war women weren't worried about looking glamorous or trying to be a Kardashian. They were too busy working their asses off fighting a war.

But food was rationed, and crops and live stock on farms were monitored and regulated.

Possibly they had very good food on the set...
