Uh, they meet Jerry in broad daylight

For the rest of the movie it's shown that even a tiny bit of light burns vampires. But the first time they met Jerry, outside when his mom is "flirting", it's basically broad daylight. What?

It's sunlight that kills, and there was no sun in that first scene.

I believe it was actually dusk/early evening on a cloudy day. Still light but no sun.
