Is Colin Farrell as sexy as Chris Sarandon was in the original?

Man, he was hot back in the day! How is this version in comparison to the original? Thanks :)

I will skin you. I will debone you. I will feed your entrails to our neighbor's Shih Tzu!

Personally Sarandon beats Colin hands down for me. Even how he looks today is still better than him any day.

I totally wouldn't say no to Colin Farrell turning me into a vampire, he was sexy.

Not even close. Chris Sarandon is the hottest vampire ever. Colin ain't fit to shine his shoes.

reply

Well to be honest I wouldn't say no to either of them :)

Sarandon was a more traditional aristocratic vampire who used seductive charm and had refined tastes. Farrell was more a blue collar guy - poses as a construction worker, wears jeans and t shirt, relaxes with a 6-pack of beer and watches trash tv - with an alpha male bad-boy swagger.

Chris Sarandon every time !! He was my childhood crush ! Don't know if I can bring myself to watch the remake.

Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy night!

I'd have to say that Chris Sarandon is the more appealing of the two. He has a more tragic backstory, is charming, and does not come off as a "bad boy" predator like Farrell does. Also, he clearly is attracted to Amy in a romantic fashion rather than trying to get her just for her looks.

Here's a thought, Blond Dorkette - watch the damn movie yourself and make up your own mind. "Sexy" is in the eye and mind of the beholder. What one person thinks is hot is what someone else thinks is not.

Don't rely on what others tell you when you can make up your own mind. How else will you ever really, truly know?

reply

I don't think he was written to be as sensual, which I think was a mistake. I think he could've pulled it off, but he was written more as a menacing type of character. Sarandon's was much more suave and mysterious.

reply

I wish that Colin was made to remove his shirt completely, as Chris did in the original.

I probably answered this already and honestly I'm too lazy to check to see if I did, but I think Colin Farrell played the neighbor as more of a creepy yet intriguing neighbor rather than Sarandon's charming, smooth neighbor.

A bit of the old ultraviolence...

reply

But its fun though to see Collin Farrell feast on Chris Sarandon in the movie :-)
