Her boyfriend wins 'douchebag of the year' award.

He didnt feel the need to let her know some ghosts may be shacking up with them in their new house? Or how about the fact that his last girlfriend who he was together with, but not like "them" (what kind of line is that?) was transported through a wall and never seen or heard from again? And what did they tell the police? Or her family? And what happened to the other guy who was part of the seance? Her boyfriend has too many secrets.

hahaha, that and the HAIR....LOL

Ya, I agree. What a douche boyfriend. He just wanted to do that experiment than worry about her safety and hiding all that stuff from her so she had to find out for herself.

It was fun when she presented a cactus to him at the store saying "Cute and cheap in maintenance" and he replied "Yeah, just like you". Shame it didn't really apply on her, since she just wanted to buy an expensive kitchen machine, a few seconds earlier.

yep he was definitely a douche. at the end of the day he should have told her what happened, and then let her decide what she believes, and whether she wants to continue the relationship. that should have been her right. if i'd been his girlfriend he would have come home to find his stuff packed at the front of the house, a note telling him i'd found the video and asking him never to contact me again.

But if he told her what happened and let her decide what she believes, as you suggest, then she would have believed in the apparition, stressed about it and in turn made it stronger while directing toward herself.

I think the douche was Patrick, who continued the experiments and kept trying to force Ben to have knowledge of it/be involved even after Ben made it clear he wanted nothing to do with it anymore. Especially since Ben lost more the first time around than Patrick did. Had Patrick left it alone (or maybe even just Ben alone) then it wouldn't have been an issue. It would have just been part of his past that she didn't need to know for her own good.

But didn't that happen anyway?

I agree that Patrick was the biggest douche of all. He'd already seen what happened to Lydia in the first experiment but decided to do it again and then Greg (the other guy) disappeared and to top it all off, he put them all in a LOT of danger, worse than before. What was the point of the second experiment anyway? To bring Lydia back? It was especially unfair to Ben and Kelly (particularly Kelly, who was completely innocent and knew nothing about the whole thing). I'm actually surprised the entity targeted Ben and Kelly, as Ben wasn't involved in the second experiment and Kelly hadn't been involved in either.

Don't let anyone ever make you feel like you don't deserve what you want.
