OK I'm Going To Say It... The Wolverine Is A Better Film Than Deadpool

Yes, I did enjoy Deadpool very much so don't get me wrong. Still, I find this film to be the better and more thrilling comic book adaptation. Deadpool does prove that they should have released the director's cut of The Wolverine and maybe added more blood elsewhere. Logan chopping up ninjas works so well in the director's version and seeing him at least get the costume in a suitcase was wonderful. Even as is, The Wolverine is the more complex film.

Deadpool gets too much credit for being a straight from the books near literal translation. That really doesn't matter to me even as a reader. I judge what hits the screen. The Wolverine delivers more of everything except humor.

They're different types of films with The Wolverine being a somber reflective piece for the character, and Deadpool being a balls-out crazed cavalcade of violence and humor. Both are very well constructed as narratives, in my opinion. I love both the Extended Cut of The Wolverine and Deadpool for different reasons, but they're both great films.

I agree, here is my current ranking of the X-Men franchise:

1. X-Men: Days of Future Past
2. The Wolverine
3. X-Men: First Class
4. Deadpool
5. X2
6. X-Men
7. X-Men: The Last Stand
8. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I saw the unleashed R Rated (more violent) cut of the wolverine and I thought it was great, but Deadpool kicked the crap out of it BY FAR lol, and there is gonna be an unrated cut of Deadpool called Deadpool 1.5 that'll be even better than the theatrical cut

I'd go so far as to now say FAR better than Deadpool.

I liked Deadpool for what it was but it was nothing but dumb fun. His act is growing to get tired very fast.

I agree. Deadpool was fun, but The Wolverine takes itself pretty seriously; then again, it was a pretty serious graphic novel.
