2) Marie Antoinette (Well put together)
3) Lost in Translation
4) Somewhere
Other than Lost in Translation, they all seem to revolve around self indulgent, discontent characters, almost bored. But Virgin Suicides definitely had some depth and was based on a true story. I can't put my finger on it but I don't really dislike any of her films but one or another are more captivating to me than others. From the other posts, everyone's opinion varied so yeah.

Haven't seen her other films. I think Lost in Translation is generally over praised by the film community. Fine film, but nothing revolutionary or brilliant. I think maybe a lot of people just weren't familiar with the "understated" style of film until that one crossed over into the mainstream.
I feel like Somewhere took all of the concepts and moods that Lost in Translation didn't really fulfill me with and expanded on them while refining the film language it's told in. Really enjoyed it, I think it's much better than Lost in Translation.
I think the Bling Ring is pretty bad lol
