Past/future Spoiler (unconfirmed)

There is a spoiler (Unconfirmed)that states that they (I think Damon/Bonnie or maybe Stefan) goes back in the past to kill Cade. The trip to the past changes everything. We also get to see their future someone claim that Caroline runs the Salvatore Boarding School with Elena's little brother Jeremy. I do not know if the spoilers are legit, but I do recall Sybil, and Seline go looking for Damon back in time.

I think if they play it like that one Buffy episode, The Wish, where Cordelia wishes Buffy had never come to town and we see how Sunnydale turns out without a slayer it would be interesting. But only if they turn it back.

I'm curious to see how characters MIGHT have ended up without the Salvatores. Every single one of them would be so different. And if the show went all the way back to Cade, maybe Katherine never even turns Stefan and he and Damon die natural deaths.

It would be a fun filler episode on a different show. But because it's this show, there's always the risk that they want to find yet more ways to ruin it and end it with 'It was all just a dream!!!!' nonsense.

Maybe an afterlife world kinda like freya did where all deceased ones end up in, and everyone dies in the end when mystic falls blows up. I don't know it just might make more sense than resetting time or changing the future. Or a Kai like world where everyone ends up in forever.

Crazy as it sounds, maybe.

I really hope they don't pull something where they change the past and it makes the entire show null and void. Rewatching it would be completely pointless because technically the journey never even happens. They messed up the ending of How I Met Your Mother and I just can't rewatch that series since it nullified every character arch in the story progression. TVD better not pull a trick where the Stefan and Damon never even came to town. It would also ruin a lot of characters as well ... like Caroline who was so much better as a vampire than a human. I doubt they will take this route because they know it would upset fans. I figure they will go for a more traditional ending. They might indeed have them travel to the past and then a butterfly effect brings back some that had died. However, I don't think they will completely erase Stefan and Damon or some of the major plot points that occurred from them being there. They could still do it that way and maintain consistency with The Originals as well.

I highly doubt it since there is a rumor going on that the final episode will include

The return of Katherine

Because

She might appear on The Originals later on

Either way - the show is ending because ratting are slightly going down but mostly the actors were leaving anyway. Both Ian and Kat said they are basically out the door.

With that in mind, I don't think the show would consider smashing the universe completely but will always keep their options open - heck even Dexter got that treatment.

Katherine would appear before the finale, in episode 14.And unless they recast her, she won't appear on TO.Unless she changes her mind,Nina is done with these shows

TO has already wrapped up their shooting. They are not going to call all the crew back to do NINA's shots.

The most important thing why would she appear in TO? What purpose?

She has no ties there except for some one sided romantic interest towards Elijah...

I was talking about TVD, not TO.As soon as Nina confirmed her return, the director of episode 14 of TVD was called back on set to shoot new scenes, definitly with Nina.That's why I think we'll see her in episode 14.

I would love for Katherine to have a happy ending, but , if not, I would love her to come back as the ultimate evil, and Elena as the ultimate heroine and Elena to be the one to end Katherine, and Nina deliverinng exceptional, amazing, breath taking performances as always.

Because TVD was still shooting . They can call back the director of ONE or TWO episodes back to do a couple of scenes with NINA but TO has wrapped up. They will not open a set because of NINA.

I think you are right. NINA will appear in more than one episodes but as what? Elena or Katherine? That we have to see.

I think I am the only one who does not care about Katherine. She was a great character like KLaus is but I think by the end of her story, I was like "she needs to go". She was the remorseless person and does not deserve any better. Showing remorse in one episode is not enough. I think she is no better than Damon but at least Damon has some friends. Katherine I cannot say that about her. What made Klaus and Katherine what they are today is very deep but that does not mean that they cannot become better people. Katherine never even tried to become that. KLaus is becoming a better person with the help of some people in his life. If I recall Katherine had a daughter but she didnt have good relationship with her either, right? Correct me if I am wrong.

I think people root for Katherine for the same reason they root for Klaus. Both of them are very well written characters but no she does not deserve a happy ending but then neither does Damon. I am iffy about Klaus but somehow, maybe because they really delved into his character, maybe because of Hope, I am/ was (iffy on my feelings for him now) relatively more sympathetic towards him and I think he deserves to have at least Hope in his life and be a father to her like Mikeal was never to him but not if he continues to be a dick to everyone around him but from season 3 finale we have seen Klaus has come far from where he had started. He sacrificed himself for his family esp his daughter. I cannot say the same about Damon or Katherine. Will Damon be willing to sacrifice himself for Stefan atm? I would love to see that happen.

I think Katherine is def in the series finale and she is the one who is falling from the clock tower if the spoilers are right...

At no point I thought Nina was going to TO.So far, she made very clear she's done with these shows.I don't even get where the rumor of her heading to TO came from.Nina didn't shoot that scenefalling from the clock tower

I think there is a confusion. IN my original post I was talking to the other poster who said that Katherine will appear in TO later.

I do agree with you about NINA being done with these shows. The spoilers talk about her falling from the tower ... I am not sure. they are just spoilers.

I think the rumors are from respective fans of Caroline, Stefan or even Klatherine on TO coz they want to continue seeing these characters.

That spoiler was killed when someone else watching them filming stated clearly that Nina didn't film that scene.Anyway it would be beyond ridiculous to bring Katherine back to have her commit suicide

I read the rumor about that somewhere.

But honestly it wouldn't be that much of a surprise if it's something that was maybe planned for the next season of the Originals - because they know cancellation is a possibility then setting up rumors for potential spike in ratings might have saved them - but since they haven't even aired yet and got the ax anyway, it's kind of a moot point.

The books have a similar storyline, so I can see them playing with that. I don't think they will make any permanent changes since it would affect The Originals as well. I can see them doing an Alternate Reality episode with his theme and then everything goes back to normal at the end.
