Didn't the plane hit the first Tower at 9 o'clock something? Why wasn't either Ally or Aiden in school?

Why would they?
Esp the 2 toxic male students have a very loose left-wing socialist student 'career', mainly partying up for sexually abusing girls.
And for the girl well, unbelievable story-writing that a 11 yrs old girl who witnessed her mother getting shot in the face by 2 dark-mixed steerage scum would out of any career choose esp helping such jail-birds! The law system already way to mild not executing all these money greedy kill-robbers!
A proper career story-writing would have been medicine to cope with her traumata. Her father is the only decent human in the entire movie! A real hard-working job, real parental care and making everything possible for the unthankful daughter.
And just at 21 all of a sudden she acts ups like 13 - for a random scarecrow dude she has known for days instead of years. Then she's all THAT surprised she's just not a ONS or OMS what's always the danger just in her age range/college days. Idiotic what she saw in him. Unrelatable.
Your mother being killed is quite a different tea then a older sibling suiciding himself or in a traffic accident.
