Visitor Q?
Anyone else notice the slight similarities to Takashi Miike's Visitor Q? Albeit, a lot more tame? I have yet to see this movie, but I really notice them from the trailer.

shareThe idea of a unlikely stranger turning a family and their life upside down in order to bring them closer together and teach them how to really live is not original with Visitor Q either. Hell, that's more or less the idea of Scorsese's Cape Fear.
"You're tearing me apart, Lisa!"
Its also same idea and basic premis as Mary Poppins...(if I remember right, Ive only seen Mary Poppins once, something about that movie just freaks me out!)I can't believe I just compared Visitor Q to Mary Poppins.
shareI saw Visitor Q a few years ago. I had absolutely no idea what was going on. I watched and just assumed it was just supposed to be some weird abstract movie, like a David Lynch film. With no true coherent story.
Actually it's more like What About Bob? but more harsh and also Bad Santa but less funny and without the Christmas theme. And no midgets.

YES!
shareIt kind of reminded me of Pasolini's Teorema.
