but you need to be an artist to fully appreciate. And it finishes stronger than it starts.
shareI caught this one last night. This film teams up Kelly Reichardt and Michelle Williams. One is a big fan of some previous work by these two (Wendy and Lucy). This one, well the OP may be right, perhaps you have to be an artist to fully appreciate it. As it happens, I love dogs. "Wendy and Lucy" made perfect sense to me. By the same token, I'm not an artist, nor does one have any interest in art. So, I don't know, "Showing Up" kind of went nowhere for me. I thought it was dull. I don't know what it was trying to say - or if it was trying to say anything at all.
