The Gunslinger.

Holy Shit. This is a Gunslinger story. Max charges into the scene with a gun with no bullets in hand, and an unconscious enemy on his shoulders. These are his weapons. Literally nothing. Stephen King's Gunslinger is who i'm talking about. He peddles that into his freedom, and later carries THEM into retribution. This is a fucking Gunslinger story. Wow... No wonder I like this so much.
