the girl or the boy will eventually break the other's heart?

i think the girl will do it. shes only into the boy cos shes never interacted with other boys. once she sees the rest of them. shes gonna dump him for someone more interesting or... taller.

on the other hand, the boy already has friends in other schools. he still loves this girl oh and i noticed she didnt say 'ilove you too' back to him when he says he loves her.

i know this doesnt matter. but what the heck

Lily didn't said "I love you" back to him, because she was obviously in a state of shock. That was the last thing that she expected to hear from Dylan, because previously he broke her heart with a stupid comment. Then before she could say something to him, he hugged her and the scene ended. But, who knows what she said to him after the hug?

Now talking about the height issue. The reason why Lily was taller than Dylan, despite being younger, was simply because girls have their puberty growth spurt much earlier than boys. Even if the height-difference may have looked a little wierd, it is actually something completely normal for kids in that age. But, now, Colin Ford is taller than Elle Fanning. So, we can assume that the same applies to their characters.

I'd like to think it's more then a teen crush. I'd like to think they'll end up marrying one another, taking over the administration of the zoo and raising two beautiful children in that amazing place. I mean seriously, does it necessarily have to end on sad note?

Obviously it would be the girl, that's just the way it goes for kids that age. Especially once the zoo gets to be big and she gets to meet a lot more people. But, for the boy, he should look on the bright side. At least they won't get married, have kids, and then she realizes that she needs to explore herself, divorces him, and takes over half of his stuff and slaps him with child support/alimony.

Well Elle fanning certainly broke my heart. She doesn't have a fraction of the acting skills of her sister Dakota.

You should watch her in "Ginger & Rosa", "Super 8" or "Phoebe in Wonderland". She was much better in those movies.

I agree that Elle's performance here was disappointing. But I blame mostly Cameron Crowe for this. Elle's part was terribly underwritten and she had mostly awful lines to speak. Besides that, Cameron basically told Elle to play Lily as an extremely socially awkward girl, who didn't grew up with kids of her age and who would approach Dylan like she would with an animal.

Which is a shame, because it is much more difficult to give a natural performance when the character is completely over the top and basically a caricature. I am sure that with a better written character Elle could have brought something interesting to the role, like she has done in so many other movies.

The fact that you're even thinking about that worries me.

LOL... She was also in Maleficnt as Aurora, loved her in that.
