I don't have much respect for a fascist troll who goes around voting "1" on every movie.

Roy,

I'm know exactly what your agenda is, but you are not going to bring anyone into your idiotic flock by posting short unintelligent ramblings about something that happened 40 years ago.

Truth is, most people were against that war. So you won't be gaining any followers today, lol.

reply

Jason Bateman and Tina Fey are probably the main draws for this film.

This isn't really the issue. She posed for pictures with people who were trying to kill American troops. It doesn't matter if you are for or against a war, that's low.

She explained that story 7,000,0000 times and also apologized for the misunderstanding. She got some bad intel.......just like Bush did, but you forgave him, right?

Jane Fonda was the most popular actress of the 1970s in case you've forgotten. When she turned down the lead in The Exorcist, the head of Warner Brothers later said, "We grossed 100 million on that picture, if Jane Fonda were in it we would have grossed 200 million."

This idea that Jane was blackballed b/c of her so called "unpopularity" b/c she went to North Vietnam is a phony canard.

reply

No it isn't. I still remember it and despise people who weren't there commenting out their asses. STFU

But you weren't there either, pauld2b, yet you get to make troll comments?!

reply

Quote your chemistry teacher all you like--and STFU yourself. Jane turned down the leads in The Exorcist and Chinatown--this is after going to North Vietnam. She would not have been offered them if she were so damaged by the visit to Vietnam.

With Everything that is going on in the world right now, WHY is this still an issue?? It's ridiculous and this is coming from someone who lost loved ones in Vietnam. This is a democracy people and we have the "RIGHT" to say whatever we want regarding the politics of our country. She has said she sees what a big mistake she made back then, she feels bad about how she handled herself & she has apologized. Let it GO!!

Who will be first to have their backs against the wall when the revolution comes?

reply

I think they expect peopled to pay for Tina Fey or Jason Bateman since they are the stars.

I was not happy that Jane Fonda was in this, but I watched it because of Tina Fey, Rose Bryne, Jason Bateman and
Abigail Spencer. What an all-star cast and these three women are all delicious! Jane Fonda can fuck off, but I still liked the movie.
