Am I the only one who felt it was a downgrade from the 2013 version ?

Do not get me wrong I liked this one enough but I was expecting it to be as strong as the 2013 version. When I saw the 2013 version I was blown away by how intense it was , it felt like it never let go in terms of tension and horror. This one has it's moment but I felt it was lighter in tone, it had less deadites action overall. Again an OK Evil Dead movie is still a good movie but yeah I do not know, I just felt let down a bit...Maybe my expectation was too high...
