Decent hokum movie, but one thing I found strange was all those guns and nobody hardly used them.
As Churchill would have said on the radio: "never in the field of human conflict was so many guns used by so few to shoot just one damn turkey."
Or thereabouts ;-)
Maybe the people realized how useless conventional guns are against monsters. There are way too many monster films that have shown how ineffectual guns are against giant monsters?
Did they atleast give it a try?

Yes, the dragon-like creature was shot at throughout the flick with little to no effect. The only time it seemed to react was when Claire shot the creature in the maw at close range while it's head was momentarily in the vehicle.
