Borefest, Slow, no tension anywhere. Some very expensive fight scenes but very brief, I was expecting more on that because the rest of the movie sucked horse. Storytelling not existing, It portrays Napoleon like a commoner, nothing amazing about his character or anything. Most of the movie is about love affairs

It's definitely not the definitive movie on Napoleon and is more of a black comedy. But understood in that way, it's an entertaining movie. It is anchored by Joaquin's and Vanessa Kirby's performances, some dryly comic scenes and dialogue, and some great battle sequences.
We definitely do need that definitive Napoleon treatment and I hope that we get it, but it would probably require a mini-series rather than a movie.
