The Ending - Should Adam have died?

I felt like the film could have been more effective if it ended on a darker note. If not with Adam's death, then something more ambiguous. I'm aware that it's a true story and being unnecessarily dark is...well...unnecessary, but I still feel like the film would have stuck with me more if it was darker. It's still an excellent film. A classic.

I was just going to make a post that I think he should have died. It would have been a more powerful lasting moment. I think alot of times people get attached to characters, and then when it turns out they are ok then you wonder why you got so attached to them.

This was a pretty good movie, but I think the first part of Funny People did a better job of dealing with dying from cancer. Leavitt just didnt bring enough emotion to this role. He was too stoic I think.

For me, the ending was ambiguous. He is in remission, for now. He is just starting a new relationship. Things are good, for the moment. There is no 5 years later update or an evidence of a happily every after.

DUH, bobo-head; doing what people do: come to a movie board to see what people think about movies. OMG is there such a term as "SPOILER"? I WONDER WHY it was invented! /SMH

I looked up "Ninjas" on Thesaurus.com and it said "Ninjas can't be found." Well played, Ninjas. Well played ...

That's what idiots do, yes.

Thats why you look at the reviews and not the message board where people are discussing what happens IN THE FILM, f-cking moron.

I just saw it last night and I liked it a lot but I do feel like they should have had it end darker to cause more of an impact. It seemed like he looked a little to spry considering how much muscle and bone tissue they said they had to remove. If not death or ambiguous, maybe at least show the severe long term effects of that.

As a huge fan of sad movie endings, I did like the ending of this movie. This was just beautiful. The very end gave me goosebumps.

There's something wrong with Esther.

I think the dog should've died but the movie should've ended when the Doctor walked out to talk to the family.
